Reference uploads

  • References are used only inside the project they were uploaded to, and are never shared with other customers.
  • You must hold the rights to every reference, and the person shown must be an adult who has agreed to its use.
  • Approved cast and location references stay attached to your project so characters remain consistent across episodes.

Likeness

  • Using your own photograph is fine. Using someone else's requires their documented permission.
  • Public figures may not be used as likeness references for sexual, defamatory or endorsement-implying material.
  • You can remove a likeness reference at any time; new generations then stop using it.

Generated artwork

  • Artwork generated in your project belongs to you, subject to the model providers' own terms.
  • Approved artwork is preserved: a failed regeneration keeps the previous good image.
  • Story text and lettering stay editable layers separate from the artwork.

Takedowns

If you believe material on STEEMY Comics infringes your rights or uses your likeness without permission, write to legal@steemy.com with the details and we will investigate.
